New Orleans Pelicans have another shot to take the home-court edge from the OKC Thunder. The first meeting was a thriller that saw the hosts saving themselves in the final moments and winning 94-92.

Before Betting on New Orleans Pelicans vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

The New Orleans Pelicans were on the brink of making a break in the opening game of the series against the Thunder. They lost just by two points, with CJ McCollum having a chance to score a dagger three that would silence the home crowd. Yet he missed. McCollum was 2-for-9 for three, another poor performance despite 20 points delivered.

Brandon Ingram was by far the biggest disappointment. Only 12 buckets and 5-for-17 from the field were too low for the leading attacker in the unit. Trey Murphy III had 21, while Jonas Valanciunas added 13 and grabbed 20 boards. The situation regarding Zion and his injury isn’t promising and he won’t be back for Game 2.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is one of three NBA MVP award finalists, along with Jokic and Luka. We had the opportunity to see why the league picked OKC’s sharpshooter. With time expiring and the game on the line, he took matters into his own hands and got the win. That simple.

SGA scored 28 points in this event with six boards, while Jalen Williams added 19, seven boards, and four assists, playing 40 minutes. Chet Holmgren posted a double-double with 15 points, 11 boards, and five blocks. The bench scored 24 points, playing a big role.

The Pelicans had their chance to catch the Thunder being rusty because OKC had a pretty long pause, which caused them to lose the rhythm. Now, that won’t happen because they won closely, provoking a sense of urgency in the locker room. So when SGA and the boys come out, they will go hard right away, and we believe they will win without problems.
