The Super Bowl hangover didn’t kick in for the Eagles right away as they started 10-1 after losing in the Championship Game to the Chiefs last season. The headache is present now though as Philadelphia is on what seems like an unprecedented 3-game losing streak. New York would like to add to that against their division rival, as the Giants have suddenly gotten relatively hot as winners of three of their last four.

To be fair the Eagles have run a pretty tough gauntlet during their losing streak, falling to San Francisco 42-19, at Dallas (33-13), and last weekend in Seattle 20-17 when the Seahawks got a 29-yard TD pass with just 0:28 left.
Regardless of if the losses came in tough situations, there still has to be some doubt lingering in the Philadelphia locker room especially since their offense has been held to 19 points or less in each of their last three defeats. That being said, the rest of the season looks fairly easy for the Eagles with two games against the Giants and Arizona sandwiched in there, meaning Philly could get to 13-4 and be right in the hunt for the #1 seed.
The Giants did have some momentum with wins over the Commanders, Patriots, and Packers – but that was squashed a bit with a 24-6 disappointment at the Saints last weekend. New York had just 193 yards of total offense in that game -not a good sign but the Eagles defense has also been struggling a bit down the stretch ranking 26th in the NFL in points allowed (24.4).

Two TDs seems to be a lot to be giving for an Eagles team that has seen their share of issues. It’s completely plausible that Philadelphia takes out their frustrations on this Giants squad in a huge blowout win on Christmas Day and three of their last four wins over New York have come by at least 20 points.
