The schedule in the MLS brings us a very interesting battle in New York, where Red Bulls host Atlanta United. The home team is trying to get back in the playoff zone, while on the other side, Atlanta is not losing, but they aren’t reaching their full potential, which frustrates the fans.

Before Betting on New York Red Bulls vs. Atlanta United

The Bulls are third from behind in the East, yet are only three points from the play-in zone and seven from the place that leads directly to the postseason. They will have to do something significant over the next few weeks to get that desired push in the standings.

They’ve been playing well throughout mid-May, but after that had only one win in five events, posting three losses and one tie besides that. Also, the Bulls haven’t won in the past three straight at home. Regarding the efficiency in front of their own crowd, three of the previous four had either over 2.5 goals or both teams netting.

Atlanta had five draws in the previous six meetings. The most recent was at home against New York City FC 2-2, one of the worst, if not the worst, team in the MLS on the road. Instead of going up in the standings, United wastes good chances of strengthening their playoff bid.

Only one of their last six matches didn’t see both teams netting. In five of the previous seven games, this team managed to net at least twice, and overall, their attack is doing a solid job, yet the defense isn’t that constant.

The Bulls are not in good shape but can score at least one goal in this encounter. On the other side, Atlanta’s attack is good, and they also should hit the back of the rival’s net at least once, so, betting on both teams to score is the best pick here.
