New York Red Bulls and New York City clash in a Leagues Cup Hudson River Derby. The Big Apple will stop for a moment to watch a very important meeting between two of its best soccer teams.

Before Betting on New York Red Bulls vs. New York City FC

The Red Bulls have posted two wins in the group stage. The first was against the New England Revolution, but that one came following the penalties. After 90 minutes, we saw a goalless draw. The next up was Atletico San Luis, whom the Bulls defeated 2-1, thus securing the top spot in that company.

Over the course of the recent six events, only one wasn’t with goals on both ends and throughout that stretch, four saw moderate efficiency, meaning two or three goals.

On the other side, City had a tougher path up to this place. They lost the opening match in the Leagues Cup, to Atlas, 0-1. However, Nick Cushing’s unit bounced back with a massive victory over Toronto FC, 5-0. It was their best performance in the past month or two.

Believe it or not, the Citizens had six draws in the recent ten games. They didn’t lose often, but for sure didn’t win either. The efficiency of their events was mostly low, as seven of those ten saw under 2.5 hits.

The previous six direct meetings between these two units have seen just one side netting. We believe that the time has come to end that tradition, as both the Bulls and the Citizens often score and concede goals in their respective events this year. The frequency of BTTS has been extremely high in the past several weeks for each unit here.
