The Premier League action continues on Thursday, as two of the standout sides in the competition lock horns. Newcastle will be looking to strengthen their hold on a Champions League place, while Brighton could move to within four points of Liverpool.

Before Betting On Newcastle vs Brighton

A busy final month of the season continues for Newcastle and Brighton on Thursday, as both sides will be looking for a huge victory in their hunt to achieve their target for the season. Newcastle remain in the Champions League spots, but they sit just a point clear of Liverpool. This is their game in hand over the Reds, but they will need to end a two-game winless sequence.

The Magpies wasn’t able to get back to winning ways after a home loss against Arsenal in their previous match, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by relegation-threatened Leeds United. These sides shared the points in the previous clash between the teams, as a 0-0 draw was played out in August 2022.

Brighton has often excelled in league fixtures against Newcastle, as they have lost just once in eleven previous clashes. Over that period, Brighton has claimed four wins. The Seagulls have also kept more clean sheets against the Magpies than any other Premier League side, as they have managed to keep Newcastle out in 73% of the previous encounters.

Brighton was excellent in their previous match on the road, as they registered a pulsating 3-0 win at the Emirates against Arsenal. That was their eighth away win of the season. Only the top two in the league standings have won more games on their travels this season, while only Arsenal have managed to score more goals in away matches than the Seagulls.

This is a massive game at St James’ Park for Newcastle this weekend, as the Magpies could face a fight to finish in the top four if they are beaten. We were immensely impressed by Brighton’s display against Arsenal on Sunday, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see them pick up a ninth away win of the season on Thursday.
