Jurgen Klopp’s tenure at Liverpool will come to an end this summer after the German revealed earlier this season that he would be departing Anfield. The Reds could yet end the season with two major trophies, but the attention will quickly turn to the next coach that could replace the German.

Before Betting On Next Liverpool Coach

When Jurgen Klopp was appointed as the new Liverpool coach in 2015, few could have foreseen the impression that he would have on a struggling Reds side. The German has brought massive success to Anfield throughout his spell in charge, with his most prized success coming in the form of a first league title in 30 years in 2019-20. As well as that, Klopp has delivered FA Cup, EFL Cup, and Champions League success at Anfield. The Reds have also suffered defeats in two further Champions League finals.

However, he shocked the Reds fan base in late January after revealing that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season. But, he quickly promised fans that he would never coach another team in England. Klopp’s farewell season has already produced an EFL Cup final success against Chelsea, while the team remain in the hunt for a second Premier League title under the German.

The betting to replace Klopp is currently headed by Ruben Amorim. The Sporting Lisbon boss has achieved huge success in Portugal, and his tactics aren’t too dissimilar to the German’s, meaning that it could be a straightforward passing of the torch. However, recent reports have indicted that West Ham are in pole position to snap up the current Sporting boss.

Roberto De Zerbi is attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs around Europe already, having guided Brighton into their first European campaign. However, Liverpool could face competition from Bayern Munich for the Italian. Other candidates that could rank high on the list include Ange Postecoglou and Pep Lijnders.

Gary O’Neill has been a very interesting market mover in this market to be the next Liverpool coach. The Wolves boss opened in the betting at a huge price, but has been cut with every passing week. O’Neill could be the standout candidate, but Liverpool will need to move quickly to fight off competition from AC Milan.
