Erik ten Hag enjoyed an excellent first season at Old Trafford after guiding the club to EFL Cup glory and the final in the FA Cup. However, continued issues throughout 2023-24 has seen the pressure increase on the Dutchman, with United set to miss out on a place in the top four. But, his long-term future at the club could yet be assured by winning the FA Cup after booking their spot in the domestic cup final with success over Coventry City on Sunday.

INEOS gained control of United earlier this year, and reports have been rife that they may look to appoint a new coach to be the face of their project. Gareth Southgate will currently be preparing for the EUROs with England, but Sir Jim Ratcliffe is a huge admirer. Graham Potter is also an interesting selection, but fans will likely be wary following a failed spell at Chelsea.

Ruben Amorim is among the front-runners for a number of high-profile jobs this summer after enjoying an excellent period in charge of Sporting Lisbon. However, Liverpool and West Ham appear to be the leading choices for the Portuguese at this stage.

Thomas Tuchel is the latest name to join the rumors, as the German will leave his position at Bayern Munich at the end of the campaign. Tuchel ranks high among the INEOS choices after experiencing huge success with Chelsea during his time in the Premier League. The German is also reportedly very interesting in taking the job at Old Trafford.

Should United part company with ten Hag this summer, then they will need to act quickly with Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona also in the hunt for new coaches. At a price, Kieran McKenna could be an excellent choice after proving his qualities at Ipswich Town over the last two seasons after departing United after serving as the assistant manager under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
