NFC North no longer has Aaron Rodgers and Matt Stafford. Some new faces are on the block, and we like this new landscape. Odds suggest three teams are in the mix for the division title, and let’s see who they are.

Last year was impressive for the Lions and the Packers, who made incredible progress. Chicago switched quarterbacks this summer but is still expected to be a tough nut to crack, while the Vikings made some massive changes, which saw Kirk Cousins leave town.

Odds favor the Detroit Lions to finish at the division’s top, +130. They already have a formed core with an experienced quarterback (Goff), and their defense received some outstanding players this summer—DL DJ Reader and the 24th overall pick, CB Terrion Arnold.

Packers +200 are a team we are very fond of. Why? Jordan Love’s ceiling is still nowhere in sight, and the team landed several rookies who will bring enormous energy to the team. Plus, Josh Jacobs is in Wisconsin, and knowing Matt LeFleur’s offensive creativity, we expect the former Raider to flourish in Green Bay.

Justin Fields didn’t meet the expectations of the Bears’ management, and to be honest, we believe he wasn’t used enough and adequately. However, we must admit that Caleb Williams looks more talented than his predecessor. When we add that and the fact that the Bears landed Keenan Allen and the rookie Rome Odunze, both wide receivers (plus, don’t forget DJ Moore), things are starting to look very bright for the boys from Soldier Field.

Minnesota will spend this season preparing for the future. They have some acquisitions on the roster that might pay off in a year or two, but the most important thing is that they still have Justin Jefferson. It’s up to the staff to teach JJ McCarthy to use him in the best possible way. But there’s no talks about them doing anything significant in the division now.
