The San Francisco 49ers will host the Los Angeles Rams for a week seven NFC West clash on Sunday. This will be the first of two games between the California rivals this season. The 49ers and Rams split their two games against each other a season ago.

The Los Angeles Rams are the lone remaining unbeaten team in the NFL, coming in with a 6-0 record. The Rams have won their last two games by a combined five points, but have a three game lead in the NFC West. The San Francisco 49ers come in with a 1-5 record with their lone win coming against the Detroit Lions in week two. The Los Angeles Rams are -9.5 over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

49ers Defense Will Be Tested

The San Francisco 49ers have given up an average of 29.8 points per game this season which is one of the worst marks in the NFL. The Niners have given up just 98 rushing yards per game this season, but that number will be tested against Todd Gurley and the Rams. Defensive end DeForest Buckner leads the team with 4.5 sacks on the season. San Francisco will face a tough test on defense in this game against the explosive Los Angeles Rams.

Backup quarterback C.J. Beathard has played well in recent weeks for the 49ers. Beathard has completed 64 percent of his passes, and has thrown for six touchdowns to just five interceptions. Beathard has run for four first downs this season to keep drives alive for San Francisco. The Niners are dealing with a ton of injuries, but still managed to put up 30 points a week ago against the Packers.

Rams Offense Flying High

The Los Angeles Rams have a ton of offensive weapons on their roster, and they have used these weapons to average more than 32 points a game. Rams quarterback Jared Goff has thrown for more than 300 yards per game this season, and has racked up 12 touchdown passes. Todd Gurley is averaging more than 100 rushing yards per game, and has scored nine rushing touchdowns this season.

The Rams defense is also one of the top units in the NFL, but they have been giving up more points of late. Los Angeles has given up an average of just 19.7 points per game this season, and have recorded one shutout on the season. Defensive stud, Aaron Donald has racked up four sacks already this season, while NDamukong Suh has recorded three of them.

49ers Lose A Close Game

The San Francisco 49ers have dealt with a ton of injuries already this season, but they have continued to compete. The Niners nearly went into Lambeau Field and beat the Packers in week six, and will be ready to challenge the Rams in this game.

Los Angeles hasn’t looked as sharp in recent weeks, but have still managed to keep their perfect season alive. The Rams will beat the Niners in this game, but San Francisco will keep the game close. Bet the San Francisco 49ers +9.5 over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
