The San Francisco 49ers are after another NFC West division, but their competition will be harsh. Both the Rams and the Seahawks want to attack the top, while the Cardinals aren’t in the mix but are always dangerous and can spoil everyone’s plans.
Before Betting on the 2024 NFC West Winners
The 49ers were pretty confident last year, winning the division title and reaching the Super Bowl once again. However, the Chiefs stopped the team from California from reaching the Vince Lombardi trophy once again, inflicting another tough loss on this franchise.
San Francisco landed several rookies, among them WR Ricky Pearsall, CB Renardo Green, and G Dominick Puni, all of them being highly skilled guys in their positions. Meanwhile, they did lose Arik Armstead and Chase Young, but they still stand as the biggest and the absolute favorite to win the NFC West.
The Rams have high hopes for this year. Aaron Donald is gone, but plenty of new faces are on the roster, mostly rookies, who will energize this team throughout the season. The offense’s backbone is the same: QB Stafford, WRs Nacua, and Kupp, with RB Kyren Williams as the emerging running force. All in all, they might challenge the 49ers, though, only if there aren’t some notable injuries or other absences.
The Seattle Seahawks had some problems in the locker room during training camp, but that’s nothing special. Everyone is tense at this time of year. Pete Carroll is in the front office, while Mike Macdonald leads the team. Expect the Seahawks to be powerful on the defensive side under his leadership.
Though, with Geno Smith as the starting QB, you need to rely on defense a lot. That’s why Seattle already landed S Rayshawn Jenkins and ILB Tyler Dodson. Plus, they’ve picked the 16th overall pick DL, Byron Murphy, who has the potential to become a beast.
The Cardinals fans don’t expect anything right now. Apart from landing the 4th overall pick, WR Marvin Harrison Jr. we can’t say that they did anything notable on the market. Though, this team had plenty of picks and some of their selections might turn out to be a jackpot.
