Two teams with postseason aspirations in the NFC will get together, as the Minnesota Vikings go on the road to take on the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. This is part of Week 13 in the National Football League. The Minnesota Vikings are 9-2 on the season, and 4 -1 away from home. The Vikings have won 7 straight games, and hold a 3 game lead in the NFC North over the Detroit Lions.

The Atlanta Falcons have won their last three games to move to 7-4. The Falcons currently are tied with the Seahawks for the final wildcard spot in the NFC. The Falcons beat Seattle, giving them the tiebreaker heading into Week 13. The Falcons are a game behind the Saints and Panthers in the NFC South.  The Atlanta Falcons are -3 at MyBookie in this NFL battle on Sunday.

Falcons Offense Heating Up

The Atlanta Falcons offense is starting to heat up a bit. The Falcons have scored 95 points in their last three games, all wins. Before that, the Falcons scored just 49 in the previous three games. Atlanta on the season is ranked 11th in the NFL with 24.1 points per game. The defense has been sneaky good this season for the Falcons, allowing just shy of 21 per game.

Matt Ryan and Julio Jones are starting to get connected. Jones had more than 200 yards receiving, including a touchdown catch from Mohammed Sanu. Ryan is 116 yards shy of 3,000 on the season, and has thrown 16 touchdown passes. The Falcons have a huge stretch coming up, including two games against the Saints in the final month of the season.

Vikings Looking for 10th Win

The Minnesota Vikings, led by head coach Mike Zimmer are seeking their 10th win on the season. Zimmer is going to get a great look at NFL Coach of the Year when the season concludes. The Vikings started the season with losses at the Steelers and at home against the Lions and were 2-2. Since then, Minnesota has held 6 out of the last 7 opponents to under 24 points.

The Vikings defense ranks 5th in the league, allowing just shy of 18 points per game. The offense has been better than most projected them to be with 251 passing yards and 124 rushing yards per game. Adam Thielen has gone over 1,000 receiving yards this season, with 3 touchdowns. The Vikings finish the regular season against the Panthers, Bengals, Packers and Bears.

Falcons End Minnesota’s Streak

The Atlanta Falcons offense keeps it going and picks up another big win. The Falcons know they have to win to keep pace in the division, as the Saints and Panthers meet up against each other. Look for Atlanta to score on Minnesota early, and use the run game to ice the game late. The Falcons defense steps up and keeps Case Keenum and the Minnesota offense at bay. Bet on the Stanford Cardinal +3 over the USC Trojans at MyBookie.
