The Denver Broncos must forget the past and do that ASAP. Three wins in the preseason won’t mean enough if they don’t beat the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday night. However, the Seahawks also have some words to say here, particularly with them playing at Lumen Field.
Before Betting on the Broncos vs. Seahawks NFL Week 1
Sean Payton said that Bo Nix is his guy. During the preseason, Nix was near-perfect, and if he manages to keep on at that pace, the Broncos just might have a chance to be a nice surprise. Also, Nix will be the first rookie to become the starting quarterback since 1983, and the guy named John Elway.
Also, the upside here is that the Broncos don’t have any significant expectations. Of course, with a franchise this big, that’s going to change as time passes, but at least Nix and the boys will have some time to toughen up.
Seattle is an interesting bunch, so unpredictable that seeing them win ten games wouldn’t be a surprise. On the other hand, them recording a double-digit number of losses wouldn’t be anything odd, too.
Though, we expect this unit to have one of the better defenses in the NFL. Head coach Mike Macdonald was the alpha and omega of Baltimore’s defense, and with such an orientation, we expect to see the Seahawks trying to rebuild some sort of Legion of Boom.
Broncos vs. Seahawks Head to Head
Denver leads the all-time series, 35-22, but in the most important meeting, the XLVIII Super Bowl, the Seahawks smashed the Broncos, 43-8. The most recent game was in 2022, when Seattle edged out a win at home, 17-16.
