Washington Football Team at Philadelphia Eagles Preview
It is a very clear situation for the Washington Football Team. All they need to do is win in the last round, and the ticket for the playoffs is secured. Though, that is much easier said than done, as they need to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles on the road. Despite the fact that the Eagles are not in the postseason race anymore, it will be very hard for Washington to reach a triumph, especially after all the turbulence this unit went through in the recent few days. Once mentioning that, we mean about Dwayne Haskins’ release and all that preceded that action. Meanwhile, Philly’s new QB Jalen Hurts, is ready to prove himself against any rival, which might be problematic for the team from DC.

Alex Smith is Back
If anything, Ron Rivera doesn’t have to worry about the starting QB spot as Alex Smith comes back after a brief pause due to his injury. Things would be very rough for the Football Team without the veteran, after the entire saga revolving around Haskins. Taylor Heinicke, who had very little experience so far, would have to start, and in a season-defining game, that usually ends bad.
With Smith, on the other hand, things are way better for WFT. He didn’t have such amazing stats following his big comeback, but the team began winning. By far, the former No.1 pick is the most responsible for Washington’s late push.
Though he used excellent weapons at his disposal, having a star in the making, RB Antonio Gibson, who has 11 TDs this year with 720 yards, and Terry McLaurin, who caught 1078 yards so far. Of course, needless to mention Chase Yong, whose ferocious approach “infected” the entire defensive unit.
Hurts Securing His Future
Each and every game for Jalen Hurts is the finale. Even though Philly suffered an elimination once losing to Dallas last week, the rookie QB will try to give his best here. He knows that Dough Pedersen seriously thinks of him as the primary option at the QB position for the next year. No matter Carson Wentz’s juicy contract.
Hurts led the Eagles to a win over the Saints, but failed to repeat the same against the Cardinals and Cowboys. He experienced pressure in the NFL for the first time last week, and if there was a little bit more help from teammates, things might have been different.
Overall, Philadelphia’s season was catastrophic. There is just one stat we will give you which tells everything. The top receiver on the team is Travis Fulgham, with 524 yards. Enough said.
Washington at Philadelphia Head to Head
These two sides met in the opening round of the year, with Washington triumphing at home, 27-17.
Washington at Philadelphia Pick
This is a “do or die” situation for the guests, and for us, it is a no brainer when it comes to picking the proper bet. Washington’s win is set at -190, and even though the profits are not that bit, it is the pick of the day.
