Both the Browns and the Jaguars suffered stressful defeats in Week 1. Cleveland lost at home, while the Jags missed a chance to close out what was a win in Miami, losing the game with the time expiring.
Before Betting on Browns vs. Jaguars
Cleveland entered the game against the Cowboys hyped, and exited deflated. A 33-17 defeat in Ohio was a hard kick in the teeth for all the Browns, fans, team members, and front office. Deshaun Watson was completely stiffed throwing for 169 yards, 24-for-45, one TD and two picks.
Meanwhile, the run game was mediocre, providing just 93 yards. On the other hand, the defense wasn’t that physical, and the Browns couldn’t force turnovers, posting only three sacks and no picks. Overall, it was a game to forget for the Browns, who must be much better.
The Jaguars, too, must forget the previous match as soon as possible. They were up 14-0 in Miami and ended the game watching as Jason Sanders’ 52-yard field goal handed the win to the Dolphins, 20-17. After the halftime, Trevor Lawrence and the boys simply stopped.
The Jags QB had 162 passing yards and one touchdown. It was Brian Thomas Jr. who caught that TD pass, and he ended the game with 47 receiving yards. On the other hand, the running backs were solid: Tank Bigsby had 73 yards on the ground, Travis Etienne 44 and a TD, and the Jags recorded 128 rushing yards. But when they had to deliver, boys from Jacksonville froze.
Browns vs. Jaguars Head to Head
The Jaguars lead the all-time series 12-7. The previous meeting was in October 2023, when the Browns won at home, 31-27.
Browns vs. Jaguars NFL Week 2 Offshore Betting Odds & Picks
Team | Moneyline | Spread | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Browns | +135 | +2.5 | 42.5 |
Jaguars | -155 | -2.5 | 42.5 |
Jacksonville showed more than the Browns in the opening game, and in our opinion, Cleveland’s offense suffers too much without Chubb and with Watson being the key player of the same. That’s why we pick the home team to triumph here.
