Brady Keeps on Going
The 44-year old man, known as Tom Brady, threw five touchdown passes last week in his Tampa Bay’s 45-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins. After five weeks, this gentleman, a seven-time NFL champion, has 1767 yards with 15 TDs and only two picks.
Having so many yards is no wonder when you have receivers like Antonio Brown, Chris Godwin, and Mike Evans. You practically don’t know who is going to hurt you first, and with all three in the zone, the Bucs are virtually unbeatable.
The defense needs to be credited as well, especially the run-stop. At the moment, they are allowing just 45.8 yards on the ground, which is almost 100 yards fewer than the Eagles’ efficiency in that area. The offensive part of the rushing game is slightly slower, with only 82 yards generated, but we all know that Leonard Fournette ignites in the latter stage of the campaign.
Eagles Excellent in Carolina
Just a few gave chances to the Eagles before their trip to Charlotte. After Jalen Hurts’ safety with 2:26 before halftime, once the hosts pulled away to 15-3, it seemed that the fourth loss of the season was just around the corner, but…
But Jalen Hurts took matters into his hands, rushing for two touchdowns, and completely flipping the result upside down. For a lot of people, this could be the game when Hurts became the new Lamar Jackson, and the moment when he realized that his team doesn’t have the necessary equipment in offense, meaning that he needed to do everything on his own.
The Eagles’ pass defense is solid with less than 210 yards per game, but the rushing defense has been pretty bad, allowing 142 yards on the ground.
Buccaneers vs. Eagles Head to Head
The Eagles and the Buccaneers played 19 times so far, and Philly has a slight edge in the series, 10-9. They met last time in 2018, and the Bucs defeated the Eagles at home, 27-21.
Buccaneers vs. Eagles Prediction and Pick
The Buccaneers are a -7-point favorites, and in our oppinion, they have enough quality to cover that gap, and earn us some money. Philly is too one-dimensional, while on the other side, Brady has much more options in attack, and after all, his defense is Super Bowl-caliber, meaning that the Eagles won’t have much space against it.
Pick: Tampa Bay -7
