The penultimate round of matches in the Premier League before Christmas take place this weekend, as Tottenham chase a second straight victory to put pressure on the sides in the top four. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest will be looking for a much-needed win in their battle to avoid the drop.

Before Betting On Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham

The race for a European spot is back on for Tottenham, as the club bounced back to winning ways in excellent style last weekend by claiming a 4-1 home win against Newcastle. Richarlison marked his return to the starting line-up by netting twice against the Magpies, and the Brazilian could once again be a key star for Spurs this weekend.

Tottenham have enjoyed an excellent record against Forest in the league, as they have won each of the previous four. That is a fine return to form in this fixture after losing four straight matches between 1995 and 1997. Meanwhile, Spurs have recorded wins in their last two away matches at the City Ground, and will be looking to win three on the bonce for the first time since 1991.

Forest ended their losing sequence in the Premier League last weekend, as they played out a 1-1 draw against Wolves away from home. However, that result has only given Steve Cooper another fixture to save his job, as the pressure continues to mount on his shoulders at this stage of the season.

Forest have underperformed in recent fixtures played on a Friday, as they have lost two of their last three. Meanwhile, they will be searching for a return to form at the City Ground after losing their previous two. That is as many defeats as they had suffered in 20 in the East Midlands. Meanwhile, they haven’t lost three home matches on the bounce since September 2022.
