There is just one Wimbledon semi-final to be played in the men’s half of the draw, after it was announced that Rafael Nadal would be unable to compete in Friday’s other game after tearing a muscle in his abs. Nick Kyrgios will be waiting for the winner of today’s semi-final between Novak Djokovic and Cameron Norrie.

Before Betting On Wimbledon Novak Djokovic vs Cameron Norrie

Coming up against Novak Djokovic is no easy assignment at Wimbledon, as the six-time champion is unbeaten at SW19 in five years. However, that is the challenge that awaits British number one Cameron Norrie. It has already been an excellent tournament for Norrie, as he became the first British male player to reach this stage of the Grand Slam since Andy Murray in 2016.

Norrie has been excellent throughout the competition, and overcame his biggest test to date against the experience David Goffin in the quarterfinals earlier this week. The Brit never really got going at any point in the game, and found himself 2-1 down going into the third set. However, his never-say-die attitude came to the fore in the final set, as he eventually broke the player from Belgium before winning the final set 7-5. This is a much bigger challenge on Friday.

Novak Djokovic is looking for a seventh Wimbledon title this summer, and currently boasts a frankly ridiculous record at the Grand Slam, as he is unbeaten at SW19 in over five years. However, that winning run looked to be coming to an end in the quarterfinals, as he trailed the talented Italian player Jannik Sinner by two sets.

However, you can never count out a Grand Slam champion, especially one that has experienced as much success as the Serb. Djokovic went on to win the next three sets to book his place in the semi-finals, and he is looking assured in his bid to create history this summer.

It is hard to believe that Norrie is as big as +1000 in some places for this match given how well he has performed at Wimbledon this summer. However, we still can’t see past Djokovic getting the win, and we like his chances to win 3-1 on sets at +225 with MyBookie.
