Before Betting On Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury

History was made in the world of boxing over the weekend, as Oleksandr Usyk produced a dominant display to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis. It was a memorable night for the Ukrainian in Saudi Arabia, with the victory also seeing him become just the third boxer in history to become undisputed champion in two weight classes during the four-belt era.

The victory was slightly less controversial than Fury suggested in the aftermath, with the only irritation for Usyk coming in the form of the split decision win. Usyk did enough to win the fight by a majority decision, and looked set for stunning victory via stoppage after rocking the Gypsy King in the ninth round.

Reproducing that performance will now be the big challenge for Usyk in the rematch later this year, but it has been teased that the fight will not be for all four titles, as he will likely need to relinquish one of the belts before the return clash later this year.

Fury started the fight on Saturday as the aggressor, but he failed to land the early shots that could have given him the advantage as the night progressed. The Gypsy King will need to go back to the drawing board ahead of the rematch, but he has so often found a way to respond from setbacks throughout his career.
