The Men’s Beach Volleyball tournament has been staged at the Olympics since the late 90s, and it has been an event that Team USA have experienced huge success in. However, they come into this summer after falling to win a medal in the last three editions of the tournament.

Norway come into the tournament as the defending Olympic champions this year after beating Russian athletes in the final in Tokyo. However, a response will be expected from the nation this summer, as they faltered at the World Championships last summer when only reaching the quarterfinal stage.

Czechia were the shock winners of the gold medal at the World Championships in 2023, but Sweden could hold the most interesting claims this summer. Sweden were second in the event last year, and they could hold excellent claims in their bid to win a first ever Olympic medal in Beach Volleyball.

The Women’s beach volleyball event has been a successful hunting ground for Team USA throughout recent history after winning four of the last five gold medals up for grabs. Alix Klineman and April Ross won the gold medal in Tokyo, but two new teams will be presenting the nation this summer.

Kristen Nuss and Taryn Kloth could hold the most interesting claims of the women’s teams representing the USA after winning silver at the World Championships last summer. However, Sara Hughes and Kelly Cheng also have the ability to go deep in the tournament this year.

But, the preference is for the Brazilian duo to win the gold medal. Ana Silva Ramos and Eduarda Santos Lisboa Duda combined to win the silver at last summer’s World Championships, and Brazil have won seven medals in the last six editions of the competition.
