Before Betting on Orioles vs Mariners June 27

Two teams that missed out on series sweeps on Sunday will meet up to try and get their winning streaks back on track with Monday’s MLB offshore odds. The Baltimore Orioles had a good weekend taking three of four from the White Sox in Chicago, while the Seattle Mariners are almost disappointed that they only won two of three from the slumping Angels in Anaheim.

Wins are building blocks for the future at this point for Baltimore, who is already 19.5 GB from the scorching Yankees in the AL East. Seattle on the other hand just wrapped up a five game win streak and still have hopes of being a contender in the West at 12 GB from the Astros. Both the Orioles and Mariners have 34-40 records interestingly enough – what a difference a division makes.

Seattle didn’t get much offense going on Sunday with an Abraham Toro solo HR accounting for their only run. Baltimore starter Tyler Wells (5-4, 3.34 ERA hopes that continues into the Orioles vs Mariners June 27 matchup. Wells has looked good in allowing just 1 ER in his last two starts, and is making nice progressions from his rookie season to his second year.

Seattle’s Marco Gonzales took the loss against the Angels on Sunday despite allowing only 2 ER over 6.0 IP, so can rookie George Kirby (2-2, 3.12 ERA) top that as Monday’s starter? Kirby might be getting comfortable as an MLB pitcher, throwing six innings of shutout ball in his previous start as the Mariners rolled the A’s 9-0 last Wednesday.

Offshore odds books are counting on a pitching matchup on Monday night and this feels like a 3-2 or 4-3 game. Prior to Sunday’s 4-3 loss to the White Sox the Orioles had allowed 7 total runs in their previous 6 games so management seems to have put a nice pitching staff together.

Seattle’s last home series was five games against the Angels in which they were held to 2 runs or less in four of those contests – including two shutouts. Orioles and the under seem to have the value in this spot.
