The entertainment world was rocked earlier this year following the arrest of Sean Combs; otherwise known as P Diddy.
The music mogul was arrested in New York in September following raids at two of his properties located in Los Angeles and Miami.
What Are The Charges Against P Diddy?
The charges bought against P Diddy relate to sex trafficking, drug possession and firearms offences.
Three charges have been included in a 14-page legal indictment released by the Southern District of New York (SDNY).
- Racketeering conspiracy
- Sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion
- Transportation to engage in prostitution
The document suggests the 54-year-old used his status and influence within the music industry to create a “criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in, and attempted to engage in, among other crimes, sex trafficking, forced labour, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice”.
One of the most recent charges to be bought against the disgraced producer and rapper is the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl, which is said to have happened at the 2000 VMA Awards’ after-party (Daily Mail).

Following the entertainment kingpin’s shocking arrest, BetUS have quickly priced some interesting prop markets relating to the 54-year-old’s future.

Freak-Offs
Invitations to P Diddy’s famous ‘Freak-Off’ parties were the most sought-after tickets in town at one point. It has since been alleged the music mogul’s behavior at his parties’ after-parties involved sexual crimes though.
Prosecutors have claimed victims (party-goers) were given controlled substances to ensure they remained “obedient and compliant” while P Diddy subjected them to “physical, emotional, and verbal abuse” and then “typically received IV fluids to recover from the physical exertion and drug use”.
Legal documents also add P Diddy engaged in “elaborate and produced sex performances that he arranged, directed, masturbated during, and often electronically recorded”.
1,000 or so bottles of baby oil and lubricants were also found during raids on his properties.
What P Diddy and His Lawyers Have Said
P Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges bought against him.
The rapper’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo said he was “disappointed” with the decision to “pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr Combs by the US Attorney’s Office”.
“I am feeling confident. We’re going to go get Mr Combs out of jail,” he added.
P Diddy’s trial is due to begin in May next year (AP News).
