In a big Pac-12 affair on Friday night, the UCLA Bruins are scheduled to take on the Utah Utes. Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City Utah is going to be the home of this game that you can watch on FS1. Both teams are in need of a win, as they both come into the game with a 4-4 record. The Utah Utes have lost four straight games, including getting blown out on the road at Oregon last week. UCLA is also coming off a loss on the road at Washington. The Utah Utes are -6 at MyBookie over UCLA, and the total sits at 59.

Utes Seeking to Snap Streak


The Utah Utes have hit a nasty losing streak that has seen losses to Stanford, USC, Arizona State and Oregon. In those four games, the Utes have scored less than 20 points per game. The defense, which was great in their four wins to start the season allowed 30.5 points per game. On the season, Utah is now scoring 27.1 points per game, and allowing teams to score just shy of 24 per game.

The Utes are led by their quarterback Tyler Huntley. The quarterback has thrown for more than 1,400 yards and 8 touchdowns. His quarterback rating is at 63.1 as of right now. The receiver for the Utes that is getting most of the looks is Darren Carrington II, with 54 receptions, 779 yards and 5 touchdowns. The Utes are 42nd in passing yards with 258 per game, while they are rushing for nearly 150 yards per game.

Bruins Disappointing in 2017

The UCLA Bruins have been a disappointing team this season. Josh Rosen came in as one of the top quarterbacks in the nation. The quarterback has put up solid numbers, with 2,713 yards, 20 touchdowns, but he has thrown 8 interceptions. His top target this season has been Darren Andrews, with 57 receptions, 707 yards and 9 touchdowns. The Bruins are passing for more than 354 yards per game, which ranks 4th in the country.


The defense for UCLA has been brutal this season. They are allowing teams to score more than 37 per game. UCLA will finish their 2017 regular season with games against Arizona State, USC and California.

Bruins Upset Utes


The UCLA Bruins are the better offensive team, by far. The Utah Utes are the better defensive team, by far. Utah is at home, but right now that has not made a big difference. Look for the UCLA offense to be too explosive for the Utes to cover.  The Utes are going to struggle in this game, and UCLA is going to come away with a much needed road win.
