Panathinaikos returned to the Final Four with a big blast this year, having Kendrick Nunn as maybe the biggest star in the Euroleague. On the other side, Fener was written off after a slow start, but Saras Jasikevicius changed the atmosphere, and eventually the team ended in Berlin among the top four units.

PAO brought Ergin Ataman before the start of the season. They landed Kendrick Nunn after that, who eventually justified his reputation as one of the most lethal shooters in the NBA. He averaged 15.9 points, which is the best scorer in the unit.

Mathias Lessort was once again the top center in Europe, and his 13.7 points and 6.2 boards have had an equally significant impact on results as Nunn’s clutch shots. There is a guy who we can’t forget, and that’s Kostas Sloukas. He is the perfect point guard for this team and a very dangerous shooter, with 12.6 buckets and 5.7 dimes.

Fener might be the best shooting team in the Euroleague. The number of players who are shooting from all over the field, particularly from behind the arc. Scottie Wilbekin is the leading figure here, with him scoring 118 threes, with 40.3%. Tarik Biberovic made 54.4% of his shots from downtown, Tyler Dorsey 46.4%, etc.

Nigel Hayes-Davis set the Euroleague record with 50 points scored in a game and became one of Europe’s most dominant two-way players over the previous decade. Because of the favorable matchups, he might be a dominant factor for the Turkish side.

Panathinaikos vs. Fenerbahce Head to Head

Both teams have used their home-court edge this season. Fener was better than PAO in Istanbul, 83-69, while the second one was in Athens, where hosts cruised past Saras’ unit, 74-63.

The over/under line here is 158.5 points, and given the fact that both sides are extremely offensive-minded, we pick over here. Even though both events during the regular part of the year were under, we strongly believe that this one heads over.
