Pittsburgh Too Banged Up To Compete Here?
The Pittsburgh Steelers tried and tried to give last week’s game away to the Cincinnati Bengals, but eventually Chris Boswell had seen enough and booted a 53-yard field goal as time expired in OT to give the Steelers a 23-20 win. Pittsburgh was up 17-3 at one point in the opener and it took a blocked Cincinnati extra point at the end of regulation to even get to OT.
New England comes into the Patriots Steelers week 2 matchup somewhat sour after a 20-7 loss in Miami in the opener. Even during their dynasty days the Patriots had a hard time going to South Beach and getting the win so fans need not stress too much yet. Even so a loss to a Pittsburgh team that didn’t look very good (despite winning) in week one would be cause for concern.
One major reason the Patriots are favored in this matchup is because the Steelers will be without defensive player of the year T.J. Watt who suffered a pectoral injury in week one. RB Najee Harris (foot) is probable but still QB Mitch Trubisky needs to be better than his 21/38, 194 yard performance in week one.
The Steelers did intercept Joe Burrow four times last week so maybe they can make life miserable for New England QB Mac Jones who was 21/30 for 213 yards with 1/1 against the Dolphins.

Patriots Steelers Week 2 Prediction
Even with Pittsburgh missing Watt in the Patriots Steelers week 2 matchup this game looks like it’s going to be a defensive struggle. Neither QB impresses much while both squads have solid defenses.
