Ohio State (11-16) is a talented team but they can’t seem to stop the bleeding in the midst of an 8-game losing streak. Despite their recent struggles and just an 8-5 home record, the Buckeyes are still slight favorites on the offshore odds when Penn State (16-11) visits Columbus on Thursday night. The Nittany Lions have won two in a row, but they are also just 2-7 on the road this season.
Before Betting on Penn State vs Ohio State
The losses continue to pile up for the Buckeyes, whether they put up good offensive numbers like in a 92-75 loss at Iowa last Thursday or obviously when they struggle like in the 82-55 beating from Purdue on Sunday. There’s not even a ton of optimism for Ohio State coming back home, as their last three games at Value City Arena have been a 65-60 loss to Wisconsin, falling 69-63 to Northwestern, and most recently getting downed 62-41 on February 12th against Michigan State as -4 point favorites.
Ohio State is just 3-13 in Big Ten play, the second worst team in the conference ahead of 1-15 Minnesota. Penn State has a great opportunity to get their third straight win after dropping four of their previous five. The Nittany Lions are 7-9 in conference play, but have also struggled on the road against Big Ten opponents losing by 10 at Michigan, 9 at Nebraska, and by 20 in visits to Rutgers and Purdue.

Penn State vs Ohio State Prediction & Pick
Oddsmakers have given us a real brain teaser with this matchup. Your gut tells you Penn State just by the way Ohio State has lost 8 in a row but at the same time the Nittany Lions are a horrible road squad. PSU has won two in a row so they do have a bit of momentum and probably should be favored – which is why the line is saying to go the other way.
