  • The 76ers and the Heat are tied in their East Conference semifinals.
  • Since Joel Embiid got back t the court, the 76ers won two in a row.
  • The series moves to Miami now.

With Joel Embiid back on the floor, the 76ers have realistic chances of eliminating the Heat from the Eastern Conference semifinals. After beating the rivals in back-to-back games and fully exploiting the home-court advantage, Philly is back in the contest with a swing that could easily wipe the Heat in the upcoming events.

Though, Erik Spoelstra knows how to behave in these situations, as he has vast playoff experience.

Harden Alive

The Beard scored 31 points in Game 4, reminding everyone that he still knows to be lethal. We’ve spoken about the fact that the former NBA MVP needs to be at his best in order for Philly to reach the East Finals. And when we say “best,” we mean the time when he played in Houston.

Harden scored six threes in 10 attempts, dished nine assists and seven boards. Embiid posted another double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Tyrese Maxey had 18 points.

The 76ers shot 54.4% from the field, and they had 16 threes in 33 attempts, which is the main reason why they managed to outscore the rivals on Sunday night.

Heat’s Terrible Offense

The problem for the Heat was the fact that they didn’t have enough consistency in the attack, and that their three-point shooting percentage was awful. Spoelstra’s crew made only seven of 35 downtown attempts, and when you shoot like that, the chances of winning correlate with that percentage.

Jimmy Butler was heroically fighting, scoring 40 points in 42 minutes of playing and having six assists. Though, apart from Bam Adebayo, who had 21 points, seven boards and four assists, there weren’t any players to help Jimmy B.

Victor Oladibo scored 15 off the bench, and Herro had 11 with 10 rebounds. Yet, in the crucial moments, Butler was fighting the 76ers alone. Kyle Lowry’s comeback over the past two events didn’t bring anything good for Miami. He had six points on Sunday, missing all six long-distance tires.

Head to Head Games

The Heat have defeated Embiid-less Philly on both occasions at the FTX Arena in the playoffs. Game 1 saw their victory, 106-92 and Game 2 ended 119-113.

The most recent two events in Philly concluded with the hosts’ victory, 99-79 and 116-108.

Prediction

As we saw, the home-court advantage has a big impact in this series, and for the moment, both teams have been pretty confident in front of their own crowd. Overall, Miami won the top seed in the East because of that and the fact that the FTX Arena was the stronghold, where just a few teams managed to escape with a win when the Heat played with the strongest lineup. That’s why our pick here are the hosts.
