Sixers Looking To Maintain Form

The Sixers have been slightly inconsistent since the play resumed in the NBA. They have won three of their five games, with these victories coming against the Orlando Magic, San Antonio Spurs and the Washington Wizards. However, they have already lost twice, with those defeats coming against the Indiana Pacers and the Portland Trail Blazers. The latter of those was their last outing in the bubble.

Portland started the stronger of the two sides and outscored the Sixers 33-19 in the first quarter. However, the Sixers were able to get a stranglehold in the game in the second and third. Portland finished the stronger of the two sides as they scored a further 33 points in the fourth and final quarter to wrap up a 124-121 success. Damian Lillard was phenomenal in that game, as he scored a fantastic 51 points. Josh Richardson led the Sixers as he scored 34, while Alex Burks and Tobias Harris scored 20 and 16 points respectively. There will also be concern for Joel Embiid as he left the game with an apparent injury.

Raptors Rotating Squad Ahead Of Playoffs

Nick Nurse’s attention already seems to be on the playoffs as there were a number of changes for the Raptors as they overcame the Eastern leading Milwaukee Bucks on Monday evening. Toronto are looking every inch like a potential NBA Championship winning side again this season, as they have already improved their record from last season.

Toronto have now won nine of their last ten in the NBA, with five of those victories coming since the restart. The win over the Bucks on Monday shows that the Raptors possibly have more strength in reserve than the leading side, who were also playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo. There was no Kyle Lowry or Fred VanVleet for the Raptors. Chris Boucher scored 25 points and Norman Powell scored 21 as the Raptors claimed the 114-106 success.

Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors Head To Head

The Raptors have won five of the last seven in the regular season against the Sixers, with two of those successes coming this season. Toronto fans will also fondly remember the buzzer-beater that was scored by Kawhi Leonard in a game between the sides that booked the Raptors’ place in the Eastern Conference finals last season.

Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors Prediction

These two sides are already looking set for the playoffs, but the preference would have to be for the Raptors. They could yet surprise everybody and make an unlikely second NBA finals in consecutive seasons.
