The Pittsburgh Steelers had a week bye as their match against Tennessee had to be postponed due to COVID-19 cases among the Titans’ players. They now await the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Philadelphia Eagles Preview
The Steelers are superb right now, with three wins, and with an “ordinary” Ben Roethlisberger. Imagine what it will be when he shifts into a higher gear. Meanwhile, the Eagles have a negative record and are on the top of the NFC East. Yes, you heard us right, at the top of the division. No matter how that sounds odd to you, these guys have a chance to enter the playoffs with .500.
By the way, this is one of the biggest rivalries in the NFL. We didn’t want to forget mentioning that.

Steelers Searching for Vengence
The last time these two sides met, in 2016, Philly annihilated Pittsburgh, 34-3, inflicting them one of the toughest losses in the history of this rivalry. Big Ben was sacked four times while on the other side, Wentz had a magical performance.
Now, knowing the Steelers’ mentality, they were waiting for all these years to meet again with the Eagles, and right now, it seems that they have a nice chance to get even.
Mike Tomlin’s defense is one of the best, if not the best in the league, allowing just 54 rushing yards and 273 through the air. Even though that is not visible when looking at the numbers, and some might expect more convincing victories, Dupree, Fitzpatrick, Bush, Watt, and many more are superb right now.
On the other side, Big Ben has seven TDs with one pick, with a passer rating of 105.2. But somehow, he still isn’t convincing as before, and that is a terrifying thing. Roethlisbergerlooks average on the field right now, and be sure that at a certain point, he will jump to the next level.
Eagles Struggles
Wentz and the boys won in San Francisco, 25-20, but they didn’t show anything which would force us to say that they deserved that one. Against the shorthanded 49ers who were having trouble with their backup QB, winning is not a big deal. Especially if that win is a product of one burst, which is exactly what happened in SF.
In eight seconds, they scored two TDs, knocking out the rivals and earning their first win of the year. And Pedersen’s team immediately jumped to the top of the poor NFC East.
Wentz is in the hole right now, with 930 yards for four scores and seven interceptions, once the MVP candidate is looking like a rookie. When we add that the Eagles are overwhelmed with injuries, the conclusion is that they don’t have bright prospects in this match.
Prediction
The Steelers are -7-point favorites, and that is awesome. We really believe that Tomlin and Roethlisberger eagerly await this match to deliver one vicious payback and send a message to all the other rivals. So, it is Steelers with -7.
