Another weekend means another round of Premier League fixtures in the most exciting soccer competition in the world. There are key fixtures at both ends of the league standings this weekend, with a relegation six-pointer kicking off the round on Friday.

Crucial Fixture At Bottom Of Standings

The Premier League weekend kicks off with a massive fixture at Vicarage Road between Watford and Norwich City. Both sides will see defeat in this fixture as deeply damaging to their chances of staying in the Premier League this term. The Canaries could move out of the bottom three with a win, while a victory for the hosts would move them clear of the drop zone.

The Hornets have an excellent record against Norwich in the league, as they have won their previous five. Norwich also have experienced little joy on the road against Watford, as they have won just once on their last eight away games against the Hornets. Norwich may have been big winners against Everton last weekend, but that momentum will be quickly halted by Watford, who we fancy at +110.

Newcastle Need Something

Newcastle also have another huge fixture on Saturday, as they visit Elland Road to take on Leeds United. The Toon brought in Chris Wood and Kieran Trippier early in the January window to held their chances against Watford last weekend, but they could only play out a 1-1 draw; damaging their survival prospects this season. Meanwhile, Leeds picked up a huge win on the road, beating West Ham 3-2 at the London Stadium.

Leeds beat Newcastle 5-2 at Elland Road last season, but the Magpies haven’t lost two straight games at Elland Road since 1972. The Whites have also won seven points from their last three against Newcastle, which improves their chances. This is huge for Newcastle, and we expect them to get something out of the game, with the draw being of interest at +250.

Massive London Showdown On Sunday

The big game of the weekend in the Premier League comes on Sunday, as Chelsea welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Stamford Bridge. Antonio Conte is quietly doing a very good job at Spurs, as the visitors could go into fourth this weekend with still four games in hand over the Blues. Wins in all those fixture would move them up to at least third, and possibly second.

Chelsea have dipped massively in recent weeks, and come into this huge London derby having failed to win in their last four fixtures in the league. The Blues were held in their latest fixture in midweek against Brighton & Hove Albion. However, they will be boosted having beaten Spurs twice in the past month in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.

Chelsea have a fine record against Tottenham, as they have won five of the last six fixtures. They have also kept five clean sheets during that run. Tottenham have disappointed in visits to Stamford Bridge too, as they have won just once in their previous 31 visits. However, we would take a chance on a famous win for Spurs this weekend at +425.
