There is just over a week to go in the 2023-24 Premier League season, with many of the top prizes set to be dished out. Arsenal and Man City remain in a race for the league title, with that battle set to go down into the final weekend. However, which star could pick up the prestigious individual honor of being named the PFA Player of the Year?

Before Betting On PFA Player of the Year

There are few more prestigious honors in English soccer than being named the PGA Player of the Year. The award has been handed out to the player that has been deemed to be the top performer since the 1973-74 season, with extra motivation for the stars involved coming from the fact that it is voted for by players themselves.

Erling Haaland was the most recent winner of the award, while Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne are also previous victors to have picked up the accolade. Premier League legends have won this accolade throughout history, with the roll of honor including names such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry, and Alan Shearer.

Phil Foden looks a prime contender at this stage, as the Man City star has held down his place in the team for the reigning champions. His chances appear to have been improved after recently being named as the Football Writers’ Association’s Footballer of the Year of the first time.

Rodri is the second choice in the betting at this stage after playing a pivotal role in Man City’s likely title triumph. Declan Rice is also among the leading chances after vindicating his $100 million transfer fee by putting Arsenal within touching distance of winning a first league title in over 20 years.
