The action continues in Group B of the Champions League this week, as two sides that remain in the hunt for a top-two finish lock horns. PSV will have the greater pressure on their shoulders against Lens, as they chase a first victory in the competition this season.

Before Betting On PSV vs Lens

There will be an interesting battle for the second spot in Group B before Christmas, as three sides are battling for the runner-up finish behind Arsenal. Lens currently hold the advantage, as they sit in second spot after winning once and drawing twice across their three opening matches. Those results leave them on five points, giving them a three-point advantage over both Sevilla and PSV.

The Dutch hosts currently sit at the bottom of the Group B standings, but they have bounced back from an opening night defeat against Arsenal by playing out respectable draws in each of their previous two. However, this will likely be a must-win game if they are to achieve their feat of reaching the next round of the competition.

PSV boast a very impressive record against French opposition, as they have lost just once in their previous seven matches across all European competitions. Meanwhile, Lens have never previously managed to record a victory away from home against a Dutch rivals. But, this is their first such match since a 1-0 defeat against Herrenveen in December 2006.

However, PSV are now winless in their last 17 matches in the Champions League. That sees them in unwanted company, as only four other teams in Champions League history have endured longer winless runs. Lens have struggled in away matches, as they have landed just a single victory from their previous seven on the road in the Champions League.
