Monday Night Football brings together the Las Vegas Raiders and the Detroit Lions. While the guests from Nevada struggle to gain consistency, the Lions are an absolute hit, and they currently look very strong. The odds do favor Detroit, but let’s check more about this.

Before Betting on Raiders vs. Lions

The Las Vegas Raiders had a rough time against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in the Windy City. The final result was 30-12 for the hosts, who blew away the Raiders’ defense. After two performances in which they held the rivals (Pats, Packers) under 18 points, this was a major blow.

Las Vegas needs to find offensive consistency on the ground because they average only 68.6 rushing yards per game. Against the Bears, for example, they had only 39, of which 35 were Josh Jacobs’. The 25-year-old running back has only 347 yards and two touchdowns this year, averaging a lousy 2.9 yards per game.

Detroit Lions had the weakest game of the year in Baltimore last Sunday. The Ravens blew them away 38-6, ending an impressive streak of results that included four wins in a row. Since the year began and the opening night against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Lions have been showing potential to be one of the dark horses for the Super Bowl.

Their ground defense allows 76.3 yards per game, while on the other side, the Lions generate 118.4 in the same category and more than 390 yards overall. Jared Goff is near a 2,000-yard mark, having 1,902 so far with 11 touchdown passes and four picks.

The spread on the Lions is -8, and we would go for it. They have a better flow in the game and, overall, have a better team in pretty much all aspects. Of course, the Raiders are capable of exploding, but not in this event. When playing away from home, this unit performs mediocre.
