Rangers and Betis kick off their Europa League campaign at Ibrox this Thursday evening. Both teams have high ambitions for this competition and do take it seriously.

Before Betting on Rangers vs. Betis

The Rangers have triumphed in their inaugural match following the international break. It is worth noting, however, that they have been unable to secure victory in their past two home fixtures, among others, losing to Celtic in the Old Firm derby along the way.

The Gers reached the Europa League after a 7-3 aggregate defeat at the hands of PSV during the UCL playoffs last month. They had plenty of success the last time they appeared in the Europa League, two years ago, reaching the finals where Eintracht Frankfurt stopped the Gers. A lot has changed since, but the Scots hope they could go deep into the knockout stage once more.

On the other side of the pitch is Betis, who lost the past two away games by a high margin. The team from Seville allowed nine while not scoring a single goal, losing to Bilbao 4-0 and Barcelona 5-0. It was not the intro for the start of the Europa League they hoped for. Betis didn’t score in three of its previous four meetings overall.

From a historical perspective, the visitors are no strangers to the group stage of this competition, as this marks their third consecutive appearance. Regrettably, their previous two endeavors were concluded at the round of 16 stage.

The Gers are very aggressive at home and attack rivals regardless of their name. However, they aren’t as strong as two years ago, when performances at Ibrox pushed this club all the way to the finals. Betis is still searching for itself, and the Spaniards do have problems in all the areas on the field. Their issues are the only reason why we back up the hosts to win this one.
