Before Betting on Rangers vs Mariners July 25
The 14 game win streak is over for the Seattle Mariners, who snapped back to the real world after getting swept at home against the Astros this past weekend. Houston flexed their muscles and may have already put the AL West to bed as they’ve now built up a 13 game lead over the Mariners in the division.
What Seattle will try to do now is get another streak going even though they have 7 games coming up against Houston and the Yankees – all on the road. The Texas Rangers were able to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Oakland A’s with an 11-8 win on Sunday, but that’s still a very disappointing trip to the Bay area for the Rangers who are just 7-13 so far in July.
The M’s have to like their chances in the Rangers vs Mariners July 25 matchup and the offshore odds seem to agree with Seattle a fairly significant favorite. The Mariners have won 8 of the 10 meetings between these two teams this season including a sweep in Arlington the weekend before the All-Star break.
Despite recent success in the head to head series, another reason to like Seattle on Monday night is because Chris Flexen (6-8, 3.79 ERA) is 4-0 with a 2.52 ERA in his career against the Rangers. Flexen has allowed a total of 1 ER in his last two starts overall.
The Rangers counter with Glenn Otto (4-6, 5.40 ERA) who gave up 3ER over 6.0 IP against these Mariners in his last start. Otto does have a 3.30 ERA on the road compared to 7.39 at home and he’s 1-1 with a 4.09 ERA in two outings against Seattle this season – both at home.

The Mariners were humbled a bit over the weekend but the Astros are also a really good ball club. Seattle should be able to get back on track on Monday night and pick back up on a 14-4 month.
