The New York Knicks (18-13) have the longest current win streak in the NBA at 8 games, but keeping it going gets a bit more difficult on Wednesday night playing on the back-to-back. Luckily for NYK their 132-94 win over the Warriors on Tuesday night was a pretty easy one, but the Toronto Raptors (13-18) still see blood in the water especially as they try to snap a six game losing skid of their own.

Before Betting on Raptors vs Knicks

With a victory on Wednesday night the Knicks can tie the 9-game win streak that they had in April of 2021 and if they play like they did on Tuesday that shouldn’t be a problem. Sure Golden State was without Steph Curry (shoulder), but the Knicks never trailed once in the 38-point win that saw five players score at least 15 points.

The Warriors’ 94 points marked the fifth time during the win streak that Knicks opponents have been held under 100 points. Better yet coach Tom Thibodeau didn’t have to burn up his starters in getting the victory, as R.J. Barrett and Quentin Grimes led the team with 31 minutes. That should leave New York fairly fresh for the back-to-back.

The Raptors are streaking too but in the wrong direction, as their six straight losses is also the current longest in the league and the most since the 2020 COVID year when Toronto couldn’t even play home games. Four of those losses have come by four points or less including Monday’s 104-101 OT defeat in Philadelphia, so the Raptors are playing a bit better than their record would indicate.

Raptors vs Knicks Prediction & Pick

The Knicks are a buzzsaw right now and the fact that they are just -1.5 favorites is a bit concerning. It would seem like New York would have value as 4-5 point favorites and yes they’re playing the back-to-back, but beating Golden State by almost 40 points wasn’t exactly draining. You have to listen to the line here as it looks like two streaks are ending Wednesday.
Pick: Raptors +1.5
