Even though it wasn’t their player that was hurt, the Cincinnati Bengals (11-4) were still involved in an emotional night on Monday after Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and had to be resuscitate by CPR. That MNF contest was ultimately cancelled, and although Hamlin is recovering nicely by all accounts that situation weighed on Bengals players as you can tell by media appearances leading up to Sunday’s regular season finale.
This finale looks like it’s going to be anticlimactic as if the Bengals would have lost on Monday night, Baltimore could have won the division with a win in week 18. The Ravens of course didn’t do themselves any favors over the last month of the season, losing 13-3 against Cleveland in week 13 and falling 16-13 to the Steelers last Sunday.

This game kind of means something for Cincinnati but it also kind of doesn’t. Unless the Bills lose Sunday and the Chiefs trip up in the playoffs, the Bengals are traveling in the postseason as they get towards the Divisional and Championship rounds (barring any upsets). At the same time though, the Bengals have notched seven victories in a row, and that’s the type of win streak momentum you want to carry into January games.
The Ravens miss out on a chance to play for the AFC North title on Sunday, but Baltimore has still clinched their spot in the postseason and would likely make another trip to Cincinnati next week. With the point spread at double digits in some offshore sportsbooks, oddsmakers aren’t expecting the Ravens to show anything here and instead try to get healthy for next week.
