Thursday Night Football between the Ravens and the Chiefs opens this year’s NFL season. Here are some interesting prop bets for this event.
Before Betting on Ravens vs. Chiefs TNF Week 1 Props
Mahomes Under 20.5 Rushing Yards
We all know that Mahomes can run, and he was often seen deciding games with his scrambling. But this is the game where the three-time Super Bowl champion has no reason to rush. Why? First of all, he has a very ruthless Ravens’ run defense on the other side of the ball. Also, it’s the first game of the year, and unnecessary risks are off. Therefore, we take Mahomes under 20.5 rushing yards here.
Derrick Henry Over 62.5 Rushing Yards
Opposite Mahomes, we know a guy who will certainly rush in this event. King Henry came to Baltimore this summer, and even though many believe his time is past, we don’t. This guy has been one of the most dominant rushers in this century, and we sense some sort of underestimation upon reading all the comments about him being washed out, etc.
Just to remind Henry had 1,167 yards in 17 games last year, carrying the ball 280 times. Hey, guys, he was still one of the best in the league, even with a mediocre team and O-line like Tennessee’s. We expect to see him much better in Baltimore, whose game is oriented on rushing, with the offensive line one of the best in the league in that area. So, yeah, we take King Henry over 62.5 yards here.
To Score the Longest Touchdown
Now, this is a bet where we have to take the Chiefs. After all, Mahomes is more oriented toward passing down the field, and he has fast receivers who love running slants down the field, so picking the Chiefs here sounds very reasonable.
