  • Vinicius Junior bags hattrick
  • Dortmund blow 2-goal lead
  • Real Madrid superior

Real Madrid came from two goals down to beat Borussia Dortmund 5-2 in the Champions League.

Vinicius Junior stole the show as he bagged a hattrick, terrorizing Dortmund’s ailing backline.

Dortmund took the lead after 30 minutes, as forward Serhou Guirassy set up Donyell Malen to smash home. Malen would be involved again, as the German side doubled their lead, with Jamie Gittens putting his cross away.

Unfortunately this is where Dortmund’s luck runs out, with Real getting back into the game early on the second half, through defender Antonio Rudiger. From here the floodgates opened, with Vincius Junior getting his first with an instinctive finish just two minutes later.

The third came through Lucas Vazquez, who smashed home after a long run from Rodrygo and one-two with Kylian Mbappe.

Straight back the Vinicius show as the Brazilian cut inside off a Jude Bellingham cross to slot home. His third came just moments later, as he skipped past the Dortmund defence to smash the ball past the helpless Gregor Kobel.

Took a while to get into the game, but his pace became a problem for Dortmund as time went on.
