The inaugural UFL season is approaching its conclusion, as it enters Week 8 of 10. This matchup features a clash between the struggling Arlington Renegades (1-6) and the San Antonio Brahmas. (5-2). The Renegades finally won a game last week, but were still eliminated from playoff contention. Meanwhile, the Brahmas are closing in on clinching a playoff spot, and can do so this week.

Before Betting on Renegades vs Brahmas

Arlington finally snapped their 6-game losing streak, winning for the first time this season. It was a notable win as well, as they surged past Memphis to win 47-23. The Renegades were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention despite winning. They’ll be aiming to build on last week’s success to develop a formula for winning next season. QB Luis Perez played a sensational game on Saturday, completing 27 of 32 passes for 296 yards and 3 touchdowns.

San Antonio bounced back from their defeat to the Defenders in Week 6, clamping Houston in Week 7. They held the Roughnecks to just 12 points in the road win, taking one step closer to a playoff spot. The Brahmas can clinch this week with a win and a Defenders loss, or by winning two of their last three games. This week’s home game against the 1-6 Renegades provides a crucial opportunity to pick up one of those wins. Quinn Dormady and the offense were sluggish last week, despite the win, and needs to bounce back.

Brahmas win-415-10.5

The Brahmas are heavily favored in this game, as the team at home with a far better record. That being said, I would be wary of betting on them to cover such a large spread. Luis Perez is a significantly better QB than Quinn Dormady, which is a major advantage for the Renegades. Overall, San Antonio is the better team and should win, but I could definitely see this matchup being much closer than expected.
