The inaugural UFL season is past the midway point. This Week 6 game features a clash between the Arlington Renegades (0-5) and the Michigan Panthers (3-2). The Renegades are desperately seeking their first win of the season, while Michigan is aiming to take one step closer to clinching a playoff spot.

Before Betting on Renegades vs Panthers

Arlington has had a brutal start to their season, going 0-5 in the first half. They came up short again at home in Week 5, losing 25-15 to the Brahmas. The Renegades have struggled offensively all season, despite getting pretty solid play from QB Luis Perez. Perez completed 26 of 36 passes for 270 yards and a touchdown in the loss to San Antonio.

The Renegades need to find a way to support Perez in the run game. They had five different players carry the ball on Saturday, combining for just 59 yards on 24 total carries. A substandard rushing game has plagued Arlington all season long. Meanwhile, the defense has also struggled to keep pace with other UFL competition, increasing the pressure on the offense.

Michigan improved to 3-2 following their road win over the Showboats last week. The rushing attack was especially potent. Wes Hills carried the ball 16 times for 82 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Matthew Colburn II added 15 carries for 68 yards and one touchdown of his own. Michigan’s balanced offensive attack will give them a key advantage this week.

The Panthers also looked solid on defense in the Week 5 win. Another victory this week could propel them to a 3-game lead in the playoff race with just four weeks to play. Michigan jumped out to a 13-0 lead early on in Sunday’s win. It’ll be important for them to get off to a similarly strong start against a Renegades team desperate for their first win of the season.

Panthers win-175-3.5

Arlington’s 0-5 record marks the clear underdog in this matchup, especially on the road. It’s a bit surprising the spread is so close. While the Renegades are statistically due for a win, it will be difficult to find one on the road against a very capable Panthers team. It shouldn’t be a blowout, but Michigan is likely to pull away and win this one comfortably.
