The Houston Rockets and the Cleveland Cavaliers are in the Las Vegas Summer League. These two teams beat five opponents in a row and now have to decide which one will lift the trophy for the best team in the tournament.
Before Betting on the Rockets vs. Cavaliers
The Rockets are an extremely gifted team on the offensive side of the ball, and they averaged almost 110 points per game during the Summer League. Even though they pulled out three players from the tournament after a few games and played Smith Jr, Amen Thompson, and Tari Eason, the team kept pounding.
That’s because of Cam Whitemore, one of the best players in the entire tournament in Nevada. He averages 20.4 points per game and has a solid shooting percentage of 46.5%. He had 25 points in the semis against the Utah Jazz, while Nate Hinton scored 27.
Across the field are the Cavaliers, the team who didn’t allow more than 100 points in Las Vegas. Their defense is so ruthless that a couple of the teams couldn’t score even 80 points. We haven’t seen such a strong defense in the last couple of years at one Summer League tournament.
The top two players are Emoni Bates, once the most hyped high-school prospect in the USA, and Isaiah Mobley, the brother of the current Cavs’ star, Evan Mobley. These two guys average 16.8 and 15.8 points per game and are beasts on both ends of the court. Also, we need to mention Sam Merrill, the unit’s top scorer with 18.8 buckets.
Rockets vs. Cavaliers NBA Summer League Offshore Betting Odds
The Cavaliers are strong and physical, and we don’t think the Rockets can handle such an intense approach on the defensive side of the ball. They haven’t encountered a team like the Cavs during this tournament, who are our favorites in this case.
