Before Betting on Rockies vs Padres June 11

A lot of times when the Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres meet up at Coors Field, we get an exciting 10-9 or 14-12 game. The offshore odds are not expecting that kind of production on Saturday night when the two teams meet up in what is expected to be a pitcher’s duel.

This is game two of a Saturday doubleheader, and the Rockies are hoping for a little more success than they had at the plate Friday night, losing 9-0 on the heels of San Diego’s Joe Musgrove throwing 6.0 IP of shutout ball. Colorado managed just 5 hits compared to 14 for the Padres, who have won six of their last seven.

It isn’t expected to get any easier for the Rockies bats on Saturday, facing Nick Martinez in the opener but dynamic rookie Mackenzie Gore (4-1, 1.50 ERA) in the nightcap. Gore is making a case for Cy Young and rookie of the year honors, allowing just 1 ER over his last four appearances.

Colorado is in a tough spot playing a double header after playing 10 games in the last 10 days with four of those going into extra innings. Bud Black could use a long outing from Kyle Freeland (1-5, 4.53 ERA) especially depending on how the first game of the day goes.

This looks like a game where the Padres run line has some value especially at plus money on most offshore sites except MyBookie. Gore has been unhittable and the Rockies are having some fatigue set in, especially in the pitching staff.
