The offshore sportsbooks are calling the week 10 matchup between the Saints and Steelers basically a toss-up, which isn’t necessarily a shocker considering they’re a couple of 6-loss teams but you’d think Pittsburgh would have an edge playing at home. Then again Pittsburgh is a tough play in the Saints vs Steelers matchup because their offense is so horrendously bad.
Before Betting on Saints vs Steelers
20 points could win this game and New Orleans has the much better chance of getting there between these two squads. The Saints were putting up some pretty good offensive numbers scoring 24+ in five straight prior to a 27-13 home loss to Baltimore on Monday night.
The Saints were doing a lot of their damage through the passing game, as Andy Dalton had 6 TD passes between a one score loss to Arizona (42-34) and a 24-0 shutout of the Raiders. He also threw 3 INTs vs. the Cardinals though – two returned for TDs – and now has 7 TDs to 4 INTs the last three games. Pittsburgh also has the second worst pass defense in the NFL though (277.3 ypg).
There are a few things going against Dalton and the Saints here, the first being that he is 3-13 in his career vs. Pittsburgh mostly from his time with Cincinnati. The Steelers also had their bye last week while the Bengals have a short week after playing a physical game against Baltimore on Monday. Not only that, Pittsburgh is expected to welcome back the reigning defensive POY T.J. Watt back for the first time since he injured his pectoral in week one.

Saints vs Steelers Prediction & Pick
Pittsburgh is having a down year at 2-6 but they’ve beaten Tampa Bay at home (20-18) and lost close games to the 6-3 Jets (24-20) and 5-4 New England (17-14) which were both close games. This team is going to be fired up having Watt back and it’s the perfect time for rookie QB Kenny Pickett to pick up his first home win.
Pick: Steelers -1
