It has been an exciting start, but who do you think will be crowned the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League winners?
Al-Hilal, the league’s reigning champions have made an ominous start to the campaign, which would be a concern for the chasing pack.
Jorge Jesus’ side have already opened up a three-point advantage, and many of their likely rivals will need to make up ground on the leading team in Saudi Arabian soccer.

Reigning Champions Hard to Oppose
Al-Hilal have already set a strong precedent for the season ahead, remaining unbeaten in their opening five matches.
The Saudi club was the dominant force in the competition last season, winning 31 of their 34 matches to finish 14 points clear of Al-Nassr.
Once again, they have been forced into battle in the Pro League without Neymar, who it set to be out until the turn of the year.
However, in Aleksandar Mitrovic, they have one of the most dangerous strikers in the competition. The former Fulham striker is already averaging two goals per game this term.
Rivals Failing to Cut the Gap
Al-Nassr are considered to be the team closest to the champions after finishing as the runners-up last term. However, things haven’t gone smoothly for Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates to this point.
Stefano Pioli will be tasked with turning their fortunes around, and the initial signs are good after winning two on the bounce.

However, a four-point gap between themselves and the reigning champions could already prove crucial at this early stage.
Al-Ittihad previously won the Saudi title in 2022-23, and a star-studded squad, including Karim Benzema, Fabinho, and N’Golo Kante, will at least be expected to improve on their fifth-place finish last term.
They could be the best chance of pushing Al-Hilal this term after winning three of their opening four. However, they were put in their place by the champions when the sides clashed on matchday four.
Al-Hilal Hard to Oppose in Bid to Retain Title
The defending champions have already shown across the opening four rounds of matches why they are the dominant force in Saudi Arabia.
They have excellent quality at both ends of the field, and a three-point advantage, even at this early stage, makes them hard to bet against.
Therefore, at odds-on, Al-Hilal look to be the standout pick to retain their Saudi Pro League title in 2024-25.
