Before Betting On Scotland vs Spain

It’s still very early days in EURO 2024 qualification, but Scotland will be delighted with the manner in which they have started qualifying in Group A. It was a must-win game in their opener on Saturday, as defeat would have left them chasing their tail at a very early stage. However, they made no mistake in their opening home match, as they eased to a 3-0 success against Cyprus.

It was a very professional display by the Scots, with Scott McTominay ultimately turning out to be the hero after netting a brace. The scoring was opened after 21 minutes by John McGinn, but the pressure by Scotland led to a brace for the Man United man in the final five minutes of the match. McTominay’s first goal was recorded in the 87th minute, before the second was added in the 93rd.

It is a new era for Spain, as Luis de la Fuente replaced the outgoing Luis Enrique after the World Cup. Spain will be among the leading contenders for EURO 2024 glory, after previously winning the major honor on three previous occasions. Spain made no mistake in their opening match of qualifying, as they also recorded a 3-0 win.

The Spanish were too strong for Norway in their opener, with the deadlock being broken after just 13 minutes by Dani Olmo. However, it would be a debut to remember for Joselu that stole all the headlines. The striker marked his first appearance for the national side with two late goals to seal the points.

This should be a high-quality showdown between the nations on Tuesday. However, it looks hard to ignore the clear chance of Spain, as they are unbeaten in five previous internationals against Scotland, winning each of the previous two.
