The Seattle Seahawks (8-7) visit the Chicago Bears (4-11) with a reasonable chance of making the playoffs if things break right for them. Our Seahawks vs Bears prediction is for favored Seattle to cover the 3.5-point spread.

Even if the Seahawks lose to the Bears, they are not eliminated. The Los Angeles Rams would need to beat Arizona on Sunday to eliminate the Seahawks before LA hosts Seattle in the last game of the regular season. If both Seattle and LA lose this week, that final game will be for the NFC West title.

Offshore Odds: Seahawks Are Favored by 3.5 Points on the Road

Seattle Technically Does Not Need To Win This Game

Seattle needs the Cardinals to beat the Rams on Saturday. If that happens, the Seahawks visiting the Rams in Week 18 would be for the division title independent of what Seattle does against Chicago. Seattle beating LA gives them a better record in games against NFC West opponents.

After beating Arizona in Week 14, Seattle took over first place in the NFC West. Then they lost to Green Bay and Minnesota. The loss to the Vikings was excruciating as a late Seahawks touchdown gave them a 24-20 lead with just over four minutes remaining. But Minnesota came right back and scored a touchdown. The Seahawks missed a 60-yard field goal, got the ball back again, and Geno Smith was intercepted with less than a minute left.

This neatly encapsulated the Seahawks’ season. They’re streaky. They fight back. And they tend to fall short.

Still, they’re alive. They are fourth in the league in passing yards per game, so they should move the ball against the Bears.

Chicago’s Disastrous Season is Nearly Over

It’s almost funny to look at Caleb Williams’ stats on Pro-Football-Reference and see his nicknameSuperman.

The Bears’ hellish season certainly does not fall on Williams alone. He has shown flashes of undeniable talent that made him the consensus first-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Once Chicago finds an experienced, offense-friendly head coach who can unlock Williams’ talent, he should become more consistent and get better results.

But few people in the league would now prefer having Williams over number two overall pick Jayden Daniels.

Chicago has lost nine straight games. They are near the bottom of the league in every major category except points allowed per game and turnover differential. They have plenty of talent beyond Williams. The Bears need substantive changes starting with the coaches and they know that. The games are secondary as they run out the clock on this nightmarish season.

Seahawks vs Bears Prediction: Seattle Will Extend Chicago’s Losing Streak

Even though the game itself is technically meaningless for Seattle, they will play all out to win against a Chicago team now looking toward a coaching search and the 2025 draft. The Seahawks will win easily.
