Antonio Conte appears to have got Napoli back in contention for a title push this term, as they have been cut drastically in the Serie A updated odds.
The 2022-23 champions faced a season in the wilderness last term, missing out on a spot in the Champions League in a toothless title defense.
However, Inter Milan continue to be the most backed team in the outright winner market. The champions have strengthened slightly at BetOnline from -145 to -150.
Napoli Set Pace Under Conte
Napoli started the Serie A season with a +650 chance with BetOnline to regain the title. However, the sportsbook cut them to +350 after seven rounds of matches.
The Naples team has won five of its opening seven matches, including four of its last five.
Summer signings such as Romelu Lukaku and Scott McTominay already appear to be working for Napoli, with the former netting three goals and registering four assists in five league outings.
Inter Continue to Head Serie A Updated Odds
Simone Inzaghe’s position at Inter has been speculated, as Man United identified the Italian as a potential successor to Erik ten Hag.
However, he has clarified that he intends to stay with the reigning champions.
Inter have won four of their opening seven matches, and have bounced back to form in recent weeks after winning their last two.
Regardless, their title credentials will be tested when play resumes following the international break when Inter travels to Roma.
Old Lady Promise Falling Flat
Thiago Motta’s appointment in the summer offered hope that Juventus could re-enter the Serie A title race.
However, the odds at BetOnline have seen the Old Lady drift from a +350 chance to +500. Juventus sits just three points off the top after seven rounds and remain unbeaten.
But draws are already becoming an issue after they played out four in their last five. AC Milan have also drifted from its pre-season price of +700 to a +900 chance after suffering two defeats in their opening seven.
