Sheffield United showed some signs of life last weekend, but they are still far away from the safe zone. On the other hand, Brighton is in the middle of the standings, equally distanced from the relegation and the zone that leads to the international competitions.

Before Betting on Sheffield United vs. Brighton

The Blades beat Luton on the road last weekend, making one of the biggest surprises of the round. We have to say that the Hatters looked like massive favorites due to their current good form, but in the end, the guests took away all three points following a 1-3 victory.

It was the sixth consecutive meeting for Sheffield with four or more goals and the fifth in the past seven, with both teams netting and over 2.5 hits. Their games are efficient and produce plenty of goals, and that’s why many love to bet on the Blades. At Bramall Lane, this unit has just two wins in the past ten events, making it one of the worst hosts in the Premiership.

Brighton oscillates a lot these days, subsequently posting wins and losses over the last four games. If nothing else, their meetings are interesting, generating high efficiency, the same as the Blades’. The previous four were all with three hits, with only one not ending with goals on both ends.

The past two road events saw the Seagulls losing, once in Luton where the hosts rolled over them, 4-0, and the most recent against Tottenham, 2-1, with them taking the lead, but eventually losing the pace and allowing the hosts to come back in the final moments, conceding in the injury time.

We aren’t going to pick the winner here but go with over 2.5 goals, because it is the most logical outcome. Both teams are playing open and offensive football, and their recent results are forcing us to bet on high efficiency.
