The Christmas bells will be ringing in France, but there is still one vitally important round of matches in Ligue 1 before the New Year. You can find our Ligue 1 soccer picks for matchday 15 here.

Ligue 1 Soccer Picks

Toulouse vs. St Etienne

The Ligue 1 action this weekend kicks off at the Stadium de Toulouse. The hosts haven’t won in their last eight against St. Etienne, and they have failed to score in six matches over that period.

However, St. Etienne have lost nine times already this season, and Toulouse come into this round after winning their last two on home soil. Therefore, the preference is for the home team.

Marseille vs. Lille

Marseille are enjoying a fine season, but they have won just once in their last eight league matches against Lille. However, they have suffered just one defeat in the previous 13 head-to-head clashes at Stade Velodrome.

Lille have gone ten without defeat, while Marseille have won just six home matches this calendar year. A tight match is likely, but a narrow edge is given to the visitors.

Auxerre vs. Lens

Auxerre have an excellent defensive record against Lens, keeping 23 clean sheets in the last 58 meetings between the sides. However, Lens have recorded wins in their last two away matches against promoted teams, and Auxerre have failed to score in their previous two.

But, the confidence gained by the hosts in a 0-0 draw against PSG last weekend could see them get over the line on Saturday.

Reims vs. Monaco

Reims secured a famous win over Monaco in January, but they haven’t won successive matches against their opponents this weekend since September 1974.

Monaco have won on their last two trips to Reims, while the hosts have failed to score in their last two. The visitors appear to have the edge against a Reims side that have conceded at least once in each of their last eight at home.

Montpellier vs. Nice

Montpellier have failed to win in their last three home matches against Nice. Although, two matches over that period have ended in draws. The hosts have won just eight points so far this season, which is their lowest at this stage of a Ligue 1 season.

Nice appear to have the attacking talent to get over the line on Sunday, netting their second-most at this stage of the season in the 21st century.

Rennes vs. Angers

Rennes have won three on the bounce against Angers, but they have never won four successive matches against their opponents.

The hosts have won eight of their last nine against newly promoted sides at Roazhon Park, but they have failed to score in four of their last five. But, this could be a good opportunity to get back on track.

Brest vs. Nantes

Brest have avoided defeat in their last three against Nantes without conceding. However, their European commitments have troubled their form this season, losing four of their last five.

Nantes have gone two without defeat, and could avoid loss for three straight matches for the first time since August. Despite a famous win in midweek, Brest are opposable on Sunday.

Le Havre vs. Strasbourg

Le Havre have a winning record in this fixture, having secured 18 victories in the 38 meetings between the sides. Strasbourg have already lost 15 times in the league this year, which is their second-most in club history.

Their away form looks hard to overlook after failing to win in eleven on the road. For that reason, Le Havre looks the standout angle.

PSG vs. Lyon

PSG have won their last two against Lyon, and could win three on the bounce for the first time since 2017. The Parisians have scored 4+ goals in ten different games against Lyon in Ligue 1, but PSG come into this round after failing to win in their last two.

Lyon have avoided defeat in their last eight matches in a calendar year, and a draw could be a decent angle on Sunday.
