Before Betting On South Korea vs Morocco

A winner-take-all showdown is set for Group H on Sunday, as the pressure will be on both South Korea and Morocco to kickstart their World Cup campaign after defeats in the opening round of matches. There will likely be more pressure on South Korea, as they failed to lay a glove on Colombia in their opening match on Tuesday, as they fell to a swift 2-0 defeat. A response will be needed to maintain their chance of progression Women’s World Cup.

The Asian nation has successfully qualified for each of the previous three tournaments, but they have only made it out of the group stage on one occasion. However, even in 2015, they only landed one win as they made it through to the round of 16. In the previous edition in France, South Korea suffered three straight defeats, as they crashed out in the group stage. Overall, they have won just once in eleven matches at the competition.

Morocco was handed a stern reminder of the competition that they will come up against at the World Cup in their opening match, as they suffered a huge 6-0 loss against Germany. That defeat leaves them at the bottom of the Group H standings, and they now boast the worst goal difference of any side in the group.

However, they will be looking to bounce back on Sunday, and show why they are deserving of a place in their first World Cup. Morocco excelled last summer, as they finished second in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, but questions remain over their recent form, as they have now gone six internationals without a victory this year.
